Valve Introduced Counter-Strike 2

Valve has finally announced the release of Counter-Strike 2, releasing a series of videos showing the features of the transition to Source 2. CS:GO will officially switch to Source 2 this summer as a free update for the shooter.  The new version of the game was called Counter-Strike 2 (CS 2).

The development was carried out on the new Source 2 engine, thanks to which the textures, lighting and visual effects began to look better.  Classic maps have been recreated from the ground up, with many elements improved while keeping the structure and features the same.

Separately, Valve noted the redesigned mechanics of smoke grenades. The behavior of the curtain has become more realistic due to the use of dynamic volumetric particles interacting with the environment. For example, smoke naturally fills the space, entering through open doors and shattered windows or going up and down stairs, and it can be dispersed by shots or a fragmentation grenade explosion for a while.

If you have been selected to participate in the Limited Test, you will receive a notification in the CS:GO main menu. All you have to do is select “ENROLL” and start downloading the beta version of the game. When choosing “testers”, Valve took into account many factors, including your “trust rating” in CS:GO.
