Frontier Rolls Out First 5 Gigabit Fiber Internet Plan

Frontier Communications announces that it has launched the nation’s first 5 Gb/s fiber optic Internet access plan for customers.

This plan marks the first time that an ISP in the United States has launched a 5 Gbps plan on a fiber network.

It is reported that about 5.2 million subscribers in more than 70 metropolitan areas can potentially get access to faster Internet.  Including the offer is available to residents of Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, Los Angeles and New Orleans.

But you should understand that the cost of the service is also high. For example, a tariff for 2 Gb/s is priced at 110$ per month, while the option with 5 Gb/s is 180$ per month.

Frontier has also slashed the price of its 2GB internet service, which debuted in February 2022 at $149.99 per month. This service currently costs $109.99 per month.
