Dell Unveils Lightest XPS Laptop

Dell announced the XPS 13 (DX13260), a mobile PC weighing 1 kg. The laptop features a 12.7 mm thick aluminum case.

The new XPS 13 will be available with Intel Core 5 320 (Wildcat Lake) and Intel Core Ultra 7 355 (Panther Lake) processors. Dell claims the Core Ultra configuration delivers up to 49 TOPS of NPU performance, which qualifies it for Copilot+ systems, while the standard Wildcat Lake model delivers 16 TOPS of performance. The laptop will offer 8 to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.

The new XPS 13 (DX13260) offers a 13.4-inch InfinityEdge touchscreen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a variable refresh rate of 30–120 Hz, 500 nits of brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision support, DisplayHDR 400 certification, and Eyesafe technology.

Dell claims up to 17 hours of battery life when streaming video from its built-in 52Wh battery. The laptop is housed in an aluminum case and is available in Sky and Storm colors.

It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 wireless interfaces. The device starts at $699 (for students, $599).
