The Nothing brand has officially unveiled the back panel design of its new Phone (4a) smartphone. Although the full launch is scheduled for March 5, 2026, the manufacturer has decided to reveal the design, confirming many analysts’ previous predictions.

Instead of the three white LED glyph strips around the rear camera module of the previous Phone (3a), the new smartphone features a Glyph Bar on the right side of the device with six square LEDs, which, according to Nothing, contain nine controllable mini-LEDs with 40% more brightness than any previous Nothing Phone A.

It’s also worth noting that the camera module of the Phone (4a) now has a matte metal finish. The lower two-thirds of the rear panel of the Phone (4a) are simpler than its predecessor. Exposed metal screws are located throughout the rear panel, while on the Phone (3a) some of them were concealed.

Also visible is the physical Essential Key button, located on the side of the device, which activates the Essential Space app, which features AI functions for performing various tasks.

Interestingly, the March 5th presentation will take place on the same day as Apple’s event, promising an extremely eventful evening for the tech world.

It’s also worth noting that, according to Carl Pei, the company’s CEO, a slight price increase is expected for the brand’s new smartphone models in 2026. However, the flagship iPhone (4) is not planned for release this year, so the budget iPhone (4a) will be the main new product of the season for Apple fans.
