Xiaomi Reveals Xiaomi 17 Ultra Release Date and Design

Xiaomi has unveiled the design of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and announced the official launch date! The manufacturer has also added a new color option.
Rumors and leaks about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra have been circulating since last month. Initially, insiders suggested the device would launch in December, rather than February, as was the case with its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Last week, the company hinted at the imminent release on Weibo and confirmed sales would begin next week. Now, the brand has announced the exact launch date for the smartphone: December 25.
Along with the launch date, Xiaomi revealed the rear panel design and three color options.
The smartphone will be available in three color options: black, white, and a new Starry Green color. The Starry Green color features mineral-infused back panels for a metallic sheen.
The published images also confirm that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a triple rear camera setup. Xiaomi also announced that the 17 Ultra will feature a flat display, segmented volume buttons, and an 8.29mm thick body.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to launch with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The smartphone’s main camera sensor is rumored to be 1-inch in size. The device will also feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and improved Leica optics.
Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the global release date for the Ultra version of the 17 series. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra hit the global market just a month after its domestic sales launch. If the company maintains the schedule, the smartphone could go on sale as early as January.
