Samsung officially announced the W26 foldable smartphone, available exclusively in China. The device is a modified version of the Galaxy Z Fold7 with a number of exclusive design features.
The W26’s specifications are largely identical to those of the Galaxy Z Fold7, although there are some differences. The W26 features a durable aluminum alloy frame and a new hinge design, giving it a slim and sleek look. It’s just 4.2 mm thick when open and 8.9 mm when folded. The W26 weighs the same as the Fold7 at 215 g.
The W26’s design retains the signature W series style. The triple camera is surrounded by gold-colored rings. The body features a gold-colored frame and hinges. The smartphone is available in two finishes: Danxi Red and Xuan Yao Black.
Like the Fold7, the W26 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It comes with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage.

The device runs Android 16 with One UI 8 on top.
The W26 costs between 2,000 and 2,500 yuan more than the Galaxy Z Fold7 in China, depending on the configuration chosen. However, the company has cancelled plans to release the W26 Flip, a foldable smartphone that would have been a replacement for the Galaxy Z Flip7.
