Phasmophobia Sales Exceed 25 Million Copies
Independent studio Kinetic Games has announced new successes for the cooperative horror Phasmophobia. Since its premiere, the game has sold over 25 million copies. This is an impressive achievement for a game that does not impress with its technical achievements and level of graphics – and even more so, since 2020, it is still in early access.
Phasmophobia offers a four-player co-op, crossplay between all platforms, a speech recognition system (you can interact with evil spirits using your voice) and a minimalist interface. There is a translation into Russian.
According to the plot, players in the role of ghost hunters need to study locations for paranormal activity and, using special devices, collect evidence while avoiding encounters with ghosts.

The developers are also involved in a planned film adaptation of the game, which is being developed by film companies Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.
