Google Releases Doppl App for Virtual Dress Try-Ons

Google (US) said on June 26 that it will launch a new experimental app called Doppl, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to visualize what different outfits worn by users will look like. The app is available on iOS and Android operating systems in the US.

The Doppl app is designed to allow people to try on outfits on a digital version of themselves. To do this, you need to upload a full-length photo of yourself to the app. After that, you can use photos or screenshots of the clothes to evaluate how they will look. This can be clothes from an online store, a social network page, or some other place. Once the user selects the outfit they want to visualize, Doppl will generate an image of how they will look in this clothing. If necessary, the app can convert the image into a short video so that you can better evaluate your appearance in the selected clothes. The function of saving images is supported, as well as the ability to re-view previously generated images.

Doppl will help users explore their style in new and exciting ways. Since Doppl is in beta, it’s unclear when or if Google plans to bring the app to other markets.
