Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro Presented

At a presentation in China, Xiaomi introduced a new addition to the Civi line – the Civi 5 Pro smartphone. The device received a top Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and ultra-thin frames around the display, only 1.6 mm thick.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor with 12/16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a UFS 4.0 flash drive with a capacity of 256/512 GB.

The device is equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1236 × 2750 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz. It is also reported to support PWM brightness control with a high frequency of 2560 Hz and a peak brightness of 3200 cd / m2. The rear panel of the smartphone houses a camera system with Leica optics, including a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.63 aperture and optical image stabilization, as well as a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with an equivalent focal length of 60 mm (f/2.0) and 2x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel camera with an equivalent focal length of 15 mm (f/2.2) and an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view. For taking selfies, you can use the front 50-megapixel camera with autofocus (f/2.0).

Engineers have managed to increase the battery capacity by 1300 mAh compared to the previous generation by using a silicon-carbon element. Power management is handled by the Xiaomi Surge G1 chip.

Sales of Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro have already started on the Chinese market. The smartphone is offered in five colors: Nebula Purple, Sakura Pink, Black, White and Ice Americano.

Prices:

12GB RAM and 256GB ROM – 2999 yuan (~$416);

12GB RAM and 512GB ROM – 3299 yuan (~$458);

16GB RAM and 512GB ROM – 3599 yuan (~$499).
