Virgin Galactic Announces First Civilian Flight

Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic plans to launch its first private passenger flight on August 10. This was reported by the press service of the company.

It is known that the first lucky winners were three earthlings, whose names have not been given.

But all three paid either $250,000 for a seat on the VSS Unity space plane (this was the price a few years ago when the first reservations were made), or the current price of $450,000.  Virgin Galactic said that the names of the space tourists will be announced during the live broadcast of the flight on August 10.

To date, 800 people have already booked seats on the VSS Unity spacecraft to see the Earth practically from space and spend a few minutes in a state of weightlessness. The entire flight should take approximately 90 minutes.
The mission will be Virgin Galactic’s seventh spaceflight and the company’s second commercial launch.
