Ubisoft Held The Division Evening And Showed A Lot Of Trailers
Originally announced in May 2021, Heartland has been in closed testing for over a year now, but there’s obviously still a lot of work to be done before it gets a final launch date.
Ubisoft has instructed interested players and their parties to register for access to a new round of testing ahead of “more news this summer”.
At the show, the developers showed two videos – a cinematic trailer and an extensive demonstration with comments. The first reveals the plot background of the project. The video tells about the spread of a deadly virus in the United States with the help of money on behalf of Mackenzie Reed. She is one of the agents of the strategic division and arrived in the town of Silver Creek in search of her commander. Here the girl decided to establish a base, and a similar goal will fall on the shoulders of each of the players.
As for the demo, it showed the gameplay for the first time and revealed the general concept of Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland. The gameplay in the project refers to the DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and the “Dark Zones” from previous parts of the franchise. Users will participate in confrontations on a map designed for 45 people.
Matches are divided into two parts – day and night. During daylight hours, you need to explore the world, collect equipment and complete tasks. And after midnight, players will meet with each other and opponents under the control of artificial intelligence.
