T-Mobile US Users Get Free Access to Starlink For Six Months
T-Mobile has announced that all users in the United States can test the Starlink satellite internet connection for free until July 2025. They do not have to be subscribers of this operator.
Even customers of competing operators Verizon and AT&T will be able to access the Starlink network, for this their smartphones must support text messaging via satellite network and the ability to use e-SIM. During the beta testing stage, the service will be provided free of charge, but from July T-Mobile will begin charging a subscription fee. Its amount will be $15 per month for customers who choose this option for the first time in July, for beta testers the rate is $10 per month, customers of competing operators will be provided the service for $20 per month. However, users of the most expensive tariff in the T-Mobile line will receive access to text messaging via satellite for free.
Currently, T-Mobile and Starlink continue to work to eliminate mobile dead zones, and they are inviting wireless carriers from around the world to join the alliance. So far, the alliance includes KDDI (Japan), Telstra (Australia), Optus (Australia), One NZ (New Zealand), Salt (Switzerland), Entel (Chile and Peru), Rogers (Canada), and Kyivstar (Ukraine).
