Street Fighter 6: Hit Harder Than Ever Before
Street Fighter 6 is an upcoming fighting video game developed and published by Capcom. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The game features three main game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub. Fighting Ground contains local and online battles, as well as training and arcade modes, in which 2D fighting game gameplay is similar to previous games in the series, in which two fighters use different attacks and special abilities to knock out the enemy. World Tour is a single-player story mode where a customizable player avatar explores a 3D environment with adventurous gameplay. Battle Hub is an online lobby mode with more features coming in the future.
The core gameplay of Street Fighter 6 is based on the Drive Gauge, a system designed to encourage player creativity. The pressure gauge can be used for five different moves, and players have to choose which one to prefer. Most of the mechanics of the Drive Gauge system are based on pre-existing mechanics from previous games in the Street Fighter series, such as parry, focus attack, EX move, etc. The game features two types of controls: the “classic” control scheme has a six-button layout and functions similarly to previous games, while the “modern” control scheme assigns special moves to a single button in combination with directional input.
Street Fighter 6 is pure fun, every punch hits hard, every kick feels great and it’s so cool to watch. It’s a great, powerful start to a powerful new era for the franchise.
