Sony Officially Presented The New Flagship Xperia 1 VI

Sony introduced the new flagship smartphone Xperia 1 VI. The model is an improved version of last year’s Xperia 1 V.

The OLED display is still 6.5 inches diagonal, but given the new proportions it is slightly larger. Screen brightness has increased from 900 to 1300 cd/m², and LTPO technology provides smooth adjustment of the refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, while last year’s Sony Xperia 1 V only offered a choice between 60 and 120 Hz.

The Xperia 1 VI has the same main camera as last year’s Xperia 1 V. It’s a 1/1.35-inch 48MP sensor with a 24mm f/1.9 lens. This year, Sony added a “full 48MP” mode, which allows you to High resolution pictures. The ultra-wide-angle module has also remained unchanged – it is a 12 MP f/2.2 lens with a focal length of 16 mm and PDAF. A new T* glass from Zeiss has been installed, which removes artifacts and glare from images.

The new phone switched to the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and received 12 GB of RAM. In Europe, the device will be shipped with 256 GB of built-in storage, while buyers from East Asia and Japan will be able to buy a version with 512 GB.

Adaptive Hertz should have a better impact on autonomy. The manufacturer says that the Xperia 1 VI can safely work for two days without recharging. The 5000mAh battery supports 30W fast charging, can charge from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes, and retain at least 80% of its capacity after 4 years of use.

Sony Xperia 1 VI with 256 GB of memory was priced at 1,399 euros. The device is available in black, green and white colors.
