Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Release Date, Price And Everything You Need To Know
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is here, it’s the latest oversized foldable phone from the Korean tech giant, replacing last year’s Z Fold 3, although it’s certainly a recurring update in most departments.
Launched alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the Z Fold is Samsung’s latest addition to its outdated line of book-style folders that first appeared in 2019.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor inside, and it is applicable for US and UK. This is actually a key difference as it skips 8 Gen 1 entirely to offer more power and efficiency, and therefore more longevity.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 retains its predecessor’s book-fold format – meaning it starts out like a regular “chocolate” phone, but you can unfold it to enlarge the display.
It’s the slimmest Fold to date, according to Samsung, with a weight of 263g and a loss of a few millimeters in height and width of the device. This is partly due to the use of ultra-thin glass, which is strong but, as the name suggests, thin.
In the camera department, we see that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 offers the most upgrades compared to its predecessor.
For starters, there’s a 50MP main camera, up from 12MP on the older model, and while we don’t know the sensor here, we rarely see bad 50MP shots in phones. There’s also an optical lens with 3x zoom, up from 2x on the Fold 3, although the sensor actually has a downsized 10MP camera instead of a 12MP one.
The camera will be improved with all the standard Samsung software tools – modes like Single Take, Food and more are useful as they use AI to help you get the best shot.
The battery may not be as impressive as the 4400 mAh, it is rather small. In comparison, the S22 Ultra has a larger power supply despite only having one screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 starts at $1,799.99 / £1,649 which matches the Z Fold 3’s starting price of $1,799 / £1,599 in most regions.
