Polaroid Unveils Powerful I-2 Instant Camera
Polaroid has introduced a new instant camera, the Model I-2. This is the most powerful device in the company’s line.
The I-2 boasts a triple-element autofocus lens that Polaroid claims offers unparalleled sharpness. The lidar sensor provides accurate distance measurements even in low light conditions, ensuring accurate and fast focusing, a challenge for a camera that uses a decade-old instant printing system.
Polaroid added a small external display and controls for manually adjusting shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and shooting mode selection. The Polaroid I-2 is compatible with i-Type, 600 and SX-70 cartridges. Otherwise, the camera is similar to its predecessor Polaroid Now Plus, with Bluetooth support and an app for remote camera control.
The new product has already gone on sale in the USA, Great Britain and the European Union. It costs $600.
