Oura Ring 4 Introduced

Oura has announced the Ring 4 smart ring. Compared to the previous generation model, the new product has become thinner, and the quality of health measurement has improved. The manufacturer will supply Ring 4 in more sizes, and will also update the proprietary companion app to make its interface more convenient.

The new ring has a completely titanium body, including the inside. Previous generations had an epoxy-coated inside.

The new device is 2.88 mm thick and weighs between 3.3 and 5.2 grams, depending on the ring size. The sensors inside are much thinner, just 0.3 mm compared to 1.3 mm on the Ring Gen 3, and they don’t protrude from the case, which is unusual for smart rings.

Oura claims a 120% improvement in blood oxygen measurements, whatever that means, and a 30% increase in accuracy during sleep. The new ring also has a more accurate heart rate sensor, with fewer gaps in measurements. Water resistance to 100 meters is still there.

The Oura Ring 4 will begin shipping in the middle of this month. The smart ring starts at $349. The Oura Ring 3, which costs $50 less, will be sold until stocks run out.
