Musk Claims ‘Major Cyberattack’ on X After Outages
Social network X is under a very strong cyber attack on March 10, its owner Elon Musk said after access to the service was lost several times during the day.
“X has been (and is) under massive cyber attack,” Musk wrote on his X account. He noted that the social network is subject to daily hacker attacks, but this time, a large number of resources were involved. “Either this is a coordinated attack by a large group of hackers, or there is a country involved. We are investigating,” said the entrepreneur, who currently heads the US Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE).
According to Downdetector, users began complaining about problems with X on the morning of March 10. Then, reports of failures reappeared. More than half of users (58%) complain about the operation of the X application, about a third (31%) about problems with the desktop version, and another 11% about difficulties connecting to the server.
