Microsoft Docs: New Xbox Could Be Released In 2028

Interesting materials have appeared on the Internet describing a possible plan for the development and release of future Xbox game consoles. As reported by Wccftech and Tom’s Hardware, the materials were first discovered by members of the gaming community Resetera in documents published as part of the ongoing legal proceedings by the FTC and Microsoft. The reliability and relevance of the information is questionable, for example, the head of Microsoft’s gaming division has repeatedly noted that an intermediate update of consoles in the current generation is not planned, however, judging by the materials, this is not entirely true.

The new Xbox Series X design is more rounded than the existing version. No disk drive is provided. As The Verge points out, Microsoft’s internal confidential documents indicate 2 TB of memory (up from 1 TB), a front-facing USB-C port, and a new controller.

The new controller, codenamed Sebille, the publication claims, will be announced at the end of 2023. It will have an accelerometer to support the gyroscope. The gadget will be made in two colors. It will support direct cloud connection, Bluetooth 5.2. The controller will have quieter buttons and a rechargeable and replaceable battery.

The Xbox Series X console’s technical specifications include support for Wi-Fi 6E, a Bluetooth 5.2 transmitter, and the power supply will be reduced by 15%. According to The Verge, Microsoft plans to set the price at $499 for the new gadget.
