Evan Blass, who is considered one of the most reliable leakers of information about mobile devices, has revealed details of some of Lenovo’s announcements at the upcoming IFA. Fans of portable gaming should be pleased to know that the company will officially unveil the Lenovo Legion 2 in just a few days.
The IFA 2025 exhibition opens its doors on September 5, and it is likely that Lenovo will present its new products on this day. Not only is the announcement of the Legion Go 2 console expected, but also a laptop with a rotating display, allowing it to be used both horizontally and vertically.
As noted above, Lenovo has already shown a prototype of the Legion Go 2. The device is based on an 8-core Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor based on the Zen 5 architecture. The chip contains integrated Radeon 890M graphics based on 16 RDNA 3.5 execution units. Informant Evan Blass published new photos of the console, which can be seen in this article.
It is difficult to predict whether Legion Go 2 will be at least moderately successful. The original Lenovo Go pleased players with a form factor similar to the Nintendo Switch (detachable joy-cons) and a large display. However, that screen had an inadequately large 2K resolution, and the weak driver support was frankly disappointing. It was ridiculous: Legion Go owners were forced to install the latest graphics driver from Asus Rog Ally X, since they have the same hardware platform.
