Apple has released the second major update to iOS 26, the operating system it introduced in September. iOS 26.2 is now available for download on compatible iPhones, starting with the iPhone 11 series and the second-generation iPhone SE. The update not only fixes known bugs but also adds new features and improves emergency notifications.

The iOS 26.2 update brings changes to the Apple Music, Podcasts, and Games apps. Apple Music now offers the ability to download lyrics for offline listening. Favorite playlists have been moved to the “Featured” section on the homepage. Podcasts now features auto-generated chapters, making it easier to navigate episodes.

Security updates include the introduction of a one-time passcode when sharing files via AirDrop with users not in your contacts. Expanded alert options for potential threats have also been added.
