iOS 18 To Get Feature Of Blocking Individual Apps

The next version of Apple’s iOS 18 mobile operating system will offer a new security feature that will allow users to block built-in apps such as Mail, Messages, Photos, Safari and others.

Face ID will be supported in various applications, such as Mail, Messages, Notes, Phone, Photos, Settings, Safari, etc. To unblock one of the previously blocked applications, the user will need to go through authentication using Face ID. It is also possible that the ability to block individual applications using Touch ID or a PIN code will be implemented. Whether this feature will work with third-party apps is currently unknown.

iOS 18 with all the new features is expected to be unveiled at WWDC 2024 on Monday. The first beta version for developers will be released immediately after the main presentation, and the final release for a wide range of users is planned for September.
