HMD Unveils Ampd Buds With Reverse Charging From Smartphones
HMD Global has announced its first earbuds under its own brand, the Ampd Buds. The model features a magnetic case that attaches to the back of the HMD Skyline smartphone for reverse charging.
To implement this idea, it was enough to increase the body of the headphone case and equip it with a 1600 mAh battery and support for the Qi wireless standard. Such an accessory can be attached to the body of many smartphones that support Qi2 and MagSafe, or are equipped with compatible cases. The earbud case can be charged via the USB-C port. The capacity of the standard battery is enough for ten charges of the earbuds or 95 hours of continuous music playback.

The headphones themselves are inserted into the case from the end and secured with spring-loaded fasteners.

The earbuds work on Bluetooth 5.4 and are available in blue, black and pink colors.
