Google Chrome to Get AI-Based Store Reputation Reports

Google on Monday announced an update to its Chrome web browser that will bring U.S. shoppers store listings generated by artificial intelligence to help identify the best places to shop.
The summaries will be based on reviews from platforms such as Bazaarvoice, Bizrate Insights, Reputation.com, Reseller Ratings, ScamAdviser, Trustpilot, TurnTo, Yotpo and Verified Reviews. The feature will initially be available only on desktop PCs and only in English for users in the US. Google did not specify whether a similar tool will appear in the mobile version of the browser.
The feature, accessible by clicking the icon to the left of the address in a browser, will display a pop-up informing consumers about the store’s reputation for product quality, shopping experience, pricing, customer service, and returns.
The feature, currently only available in English, will generate summaries based on reviews from partners including Bazaarvoice, Bizrate Insights, Reputation.com, Reseller Ratings, ScamAdviser, Trustpilot, TurnTo, Yotpo, Verified Reviews, and more.
The move is also part of a broader initiative underway at Google to make it a more modern shopping platform for consumers.
