Capcom to Release Resident Evil 2 for Apple Devices
The successful remake of the original game is reported to be coming to the latest models of gadgets, including such devices as the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad and Mac on M1 and newer versions. Before purchasing, users have the opportunity to play the game as part of a free demo version.
Recall that the port of the updated Resident Evil 2 to Apple devices was confirmed in June along with Resident Evil 7 and was expected before the end of 2024. The digital store App Store claimed that the release would take place on December 31. As it turned out, the App Store only guessed the month of release – the project will be released three weeks earlier. The Resident Evil 2 remake will go on sale for iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, iPad and Mac on December 10.
The updated Resident Evil 2 will be Capcom’s fourth console release on the iPhone, although Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village, and the Resident Evil 4 remake all failed to sell on the platform.
