Audi Unveils Winter Off-Road Version of Q6 E-Tron Electric Car

Audi has unveiled an unusual off-road concept car based on the coupe-like Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron crossover. This is the Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept, equipped with a dual-motor electric powertrain with a capacity of 380 kW or 517 hp.

The SUV is capable of climbing a hill with a steepness of up to 45°, but because of this, the car’s maximum speed had to be reduced to 175 km/h, which gives the concept a realistic look.

Audi CEO Gernot Döllner described the concept as a “reimagined Quattro,” the company’s term for all-wheel drive models; in this case, torque at each wheel has been increased by 50 percent compared to the base model. Each axle is driven by an electric motor with a total output of 380 kW and torque of up to 13,400 Nm – 4,400 Nm more than the standard Q6 E-tron. In its original form, the Q6 E-tron was the first all-electric Audi to use Volkswagen’s modular Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, which was also used in the A6 E-tron and Porsche Macan EV.

The extreme electric crossover Audi received more aggressive bumpers, additional LED optics and large off-road tires (they required arch extensions). A luggage rack was installed on the roof.
