Apple Released iOS 18.4 Beta 1. What’s New?
Almost a month after the release of iOS 18.3, Apple has finally released iOS 18.4 beta 1 — another major update for the iPhone. During the absence of beta testing, the Cupertino company had already managed to release the iPhone 16e, but they did not release the OS update, holding out until Friday evening.
Priority Notifications powered by Apple Intelligence – iOS can now highlight priority notifications with a unique design. This is expected to make it easier for users to sort through notifications.
Control Center now has four new ambient music toggles: Sleep, Chill, Productivity, and Wellbeing — each set to an Apple Music playlist by default, but you can customize them to suit your needs.
New Image Playground styles and updated Genmoji. Image Playground now has a third style for images — sketch. It complements the animation and illustration styles that came with iOS 18.2.
Apple Intelligence has added support for new languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified), as well as localized English for Singapore and India.
There is no doubt that the first beta version of iOS 18.4 works stably, but there is no guarantee that it does not contain any errors. So, before updating your iPhone, think carefully whether it is worth it. Especially since the release of iOS 18.4 will not happen soon, and the new version will have many improvements.
