Microsoft announced the beta launch of Gaming Copilot, a personal AI-powered gaming assistant. The service has already begun appearing in the Game Bar on Windows and will be part of the Xbox mobile app for iOS and Android in October, offering tips and tricks during gameplay.
Gaming Copilot will be available as a widget in the Game Bar on Windows 11. This AI gaming assistant supports voice control, allowing you to interact with it without having to Alt+Tab to exit the game. It will also use in-game screenshots to answer questions about completing specific bosses in the game.
Gaming Copilot can also be used to receive game recommendations, view a list of recent Xbox achievements, and much more. Microsoft also plans to optimize Gaming Copilot for its upcoming Xbox Ally portable devices and promises to roll out the feature to Xbox consoles “in the near future.”

The feature was developed with input from the Xbox Insiders community. Future plans include adaptation for portable gaming devices, including the ROG Ally and Ally X, as well as integration with Xbox consoles.
