One Million People on DALL-E Waiting List to Get Access to AI Image Generator

The beta version of the DALL-E neural network from the OpenAI laboratory will become available to more than one million people in the coming weeks.
DALL-E is a neural network that is capable of generating images based on text descriptions and, more recently, can also edit existing photographs. Registered users will receive 50 image generation credits for free in the first month and 15 credits each month thereafter. Each credit allows you to generate 4 images based on one original description or 3 images with the ability to edit the description. If someone does not have enough free credits, then an opportunity is available to purchase an additional package of 115 credits at a price of $15.
The beta version expands the rights to use DALL-E, including commercial projects. Thus, users will be able to print the generated images, for example, on clothes or in children’s books.
According to OpenAI, during the study they took other steps to improve the generator, including:
- minimized the risk of misuse of DALL-E to create deepfakes;
- blocked tooltips and downloadable images that violated the content policy;
- improved protection systems against misuse.
- OpenAI said that with these changes, they will be able to open up the algorithm to more users.
