xAI Releases Standalone App for AI Bot Grok

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is testing a standalone iOS app for the Grok chatbot, which has so far only been available to X users.

Grok is currently being tested in beta in several countries including the US, Australia and India, offering AI features such as word processing, paragraph summarization, question answering and image generation based on text suggestions. Grok is also said to have real-time access to data from the web and the X platform. “Grok is an AI assistant designed to be truthful, helpful and curious. Get answers to any question, create vivid images and upload photos to gain a deeper understanding of your world,” xAI said in an announcement.

Until recently, Grok was only available to paid X subscribers. In November, the company began testing a free version of the chatbot and released it to all users earlier this month.
