Windows 11 Learned To Reinstall Itself
Microsoft has finally introduced into Windows something that has been awaited for a long time: Windows 11 has learned to reinstall itself, saving all user files on the PC. The new feature is implemented in the beta version of the OS.
This feature will allow you to use Windows Update to reinstall or restore the operating system. In this case, user files, installed applications and system settings will not be affected. Simply put, the new feature allows you to save all files and settings when reinstalling the OS to the same or more current version, if one is available for download through Windows Update.
One of the recently released beta versions of Windows 11 introduced the option “Fix problems using Windows Update”, located in the “System Restore” section. It is noted that at the moment the function does not work correctly, but it is obvious that this will change soon. The idea is to restore the system to normal operation or completely reinstall the OS by downloading the most current version of the platform through Windows Update.
In the consumer version of Windows 11, the new feature may appear with the Windows 11 Moment 5 update, which is expected in February-March 2024.
