Volvo Reveals The Unique Safety System For Passengers
Volvo EX90 electric crossover will be able to see the animals left in the car.
Volvo recently announced the release of its new EX90 electric crossover. One of its features will be a new passenger safety system. Lotta Jacobsson, senior technical specialist at Volvo, spoke about how it works.
In a new video, Volvo gives a glimpse of how the new safety systems coming to the Volvo EX90 work.
The system is activated after the driver locks the doors. According to a published release from Volvo, the radar is sensitive enough to detect even the shallow breathing of a sleeping baby. If the system detects movement, it will not allow the vehicle to be blocked. Instead, a message on the center console screen will alert the driver to check the car for passengers. If passengers or pets are left in the vehicle, the EX90’s climate control system will operate as long as there is sufficient charge in the battery.
