New information has surfaced online about the Trump Phone, a “mega-gadget” from Trump Mobile, a company owned by the family of the current US president.

The Verge journalists spoke with Trump Mobile executives and even saw a prototype in person—the T1 was shown off during a video call.

The new prototype is very different from what Trump Mobile showed last year. Initially, the T1’s back resembled the iPhone Pro models, but later, in other renders, the back panel was styled like the Ultra Galaxy models.

Now, the T1 looks neither like an iPhone nor a Samsung phone. The signature gold trim and American flag remain. The Verge also noted that the cameras on the new T1 are crookedly positioned.

Although journalists were able to speak with Trump Mobile executives, details about the smartphone remain scarce.

Specifications are limited to the Snapdragon 7 series processor, a 5000 mAh battery, and 512 GB of storage. The camera system is not specified, but the main sensor will be 50 MP and may be complemented by an ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens.

Establishing a full assembly cycle in the US remains a goal the company is working toward for future smartphones, such as the T1 Ultra. However, details about that device are still scarce.
