Trailer for PvE Missions, New Mode, and Overwatch 2 Support Hero Teaser
The developers of Overwatch 2 have released a trailer for a major game update called “Invasion”, which has a glimpse of the new support hero, PvE story missions, the new Flashpoint PvP mode, the Hero Mastery mode, and the co-op event.
Overwatch 2 will receive new content on August 10, 2023 via the Invasion DLC. Invasion will bring new story missions, a new co-op mode, a new playable hero, and more. The first batch of story missions for group play will focus on the global uprising of the Null Sector omnics, and players will be able to work together through three storylines to deal with the enemy, defeat mechanical opponents of various kinds and explore their plans.
In addition to the story missions, players will also have a small co-op event on the Kings Row map, which will include several new, never-before-seen locations. Here, the team will have to escort a siege bot to save Tracer’s friend and the omnic underworld from the evil plans of Null Sector.
This update will introduce a new PvP mode “Flashpoint” with two of the largest maps in the history of the game. In this mode, teams need to capture and hold key points across the map, using planning skills to be the first to get three of them and gain the upper hand.
Also in the update will be the “Improvement of the hero” mode, in which training courses are available for each hero, allowing you to develop, try out and test the skills of the game. The mode has a global leaderboard that allows the best players to compete against each other. Courses for a limited number of heroes will be available at first, with additional ones gradually rolling out in future seasons.
The game will have a “shooting mode” in which players will be able to shoot at different targets.
