The 4th Generation iPhone SE Gets The Same Battery As The iPhone 14
The iPhone SE 4, expected to release in 2025, will have a battery similar to the iPhone 14. This is confirmed by leaked internal design documentation, as well as partially assembled prototypes of the next generation iPhone SE equipped with lithium-ion batteries designated A2863 and a capacity of 3279 mAh. For comparison, the third generation iPhone SE has a battery capacity of only 2018 mAh.
While Apple is rumored to have developed new batteries for the iPhone 16 Pro with improved thermal performance, the fourth-generation iPhone SE smartphones will use existing batteries to save costs. The fact is that developing new components for the new iPhone SE involves additional research and development costs, and using existing batteries will help keep the price more reasonable compared to other Apple models.
Considering that the new generation iPhone SE is believed to be based on the iPhone 14, the choice of battery seems as obvious as possible. At the same time, the new SE will supposedly receive a more modern platform, an Action button and USB-C, that is, in fact, it will be even better than the iPhone 14.
