Tesla Plans To Integrate An Assistant With AI Into Its Cars
Tesla is integrating Grok AI, Elon Musk’s witty and subversive chatbot, into its electric vehicles to make driving smarter.
The collaboration between xAI and Tesla is expected to bring Grōk AI directly into Tesla vehicles. According to early beta tester a “smaller quantized” version of Grōk will initially run in Tesla cars, using available local computing power. This integration could be a significant step forward in improving the in-vehicle user experience.
So far, the exact details of the integration of Grok, the latest creation of the startup xAI, into Tesla electric vehicles have not been disclosed. However, Musk suggests that if he can run AI on Tesla’s car computer, the company’s cars will have the leading computing power for AI.
In the near future, Tesla owners may begin interacting with Grok through voice commands. The AI will be able to adapt to driver preferences, such as climate control, similar to the new voice assistant that will appear in BMW’s Mini Cooper EV in 2024.
Tesla’s decision to integrate Grōk AI into its electric vehicles represents a significant step forward in the company’s efforts to improve the user experience through advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
