TCL Unveils Affordable 60 Series Smartphones Powered by MediaTek Chips
At MWC, TCL unveiled two new phones in the 60 series. The duo consists of the TCL 60 SE with Nxtpaper 4.0 display and the TCL 60 R. Both devices are entry-level smartphones.

The TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G smartphone received a 6.7-inch display from the developers with support for HD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The device is equipped with an NXTPAPER 4.0 panel, which not only can operate at a high refresh rate, but can also switch to e-book mode. The screen has an anti-glare coating and supports three operating modes to reduce eye strain while reading.

The TCL 60 SE received support for a number of functions based on artificial intelligence, which were developed jointly with Microsoft. The hardware basis of the new product was the eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 microprocessor. On the back of the case there is a dual main camera, combining 50 and 5 MP sensors.

The configuration is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be sold in markets around the world at a price of about €189.
