Swarovski Optik Introduced Smart Binoculars
At CES 2024, smart binoculars were introduced that have an innovative feature – automatic bird identification. Swarovski Optik AX Visio binoculars have an AI-powered feature that can help you identify the species of bird you are viewing from a database of 9,000 species.
The resolution of the AX Visio image sensor is 4208 × 3120 pixels, that is, 13 megapixels, but video recording is only possible in Full HD resolution. Thanks to the mobile application, videos and photos can be easily downloaded to a smartphone for further classification and processing. Live View provides the ability to share observations in real time.
Experts highlight the object recognition capabilities of the new AX Visio binoculars for wildlife observations. AX Visio is equipped with a neural processing unit (NPU), which is said to be able to quickly and reliably identify a wide variety of animal and bird species, which will greatly help scientists, environmental activists and simply nature lovers.
