Substack Adds A Chat Feature

Substack users now have a new way to interact with their favorite creators, podcasters and video creators. The platform now has a chat feature that developers can use to communicate more closely with their followers.

Based on the information provided, Chat is a new space for writers and content creators to connect with their clients.

“Chats are public spaces specifically for writers and content creators, such as a private social network where you make the rules,” the company wrote.

Through chat, later authors or content creators can set topics and notes for each discussion, and they can turn this feature on or off at any time.

There are some moderation options available for content creators. They can disable replies in chat threads, delete threads, and prevent followers from posting photos. Creators can also prevent members from chatting or commenting on threads. But the author does not have the ability to appoint trusted moderators who can do this.
