Sony Introduced Project Q: Portable Game Console
Sony has announced a new PlayStation streaming handheld called “Project Q”. Announced during the event, Project Q is described as “a dedicated device that allows you to stream any game from your PS5 console using Wi-Fi Remote Play.”
Sony notes that Project Q will stream video games from the PlayStation 5 console to a portable gadget over the Internet using the PS Remote Play feature. The model will receive all the controls available in the DualSense wireless controllers. She will also receive an 8-inch LCD display that supports resolutions up to 1080p and a frequency of 60 Hz. As with classic controllers, the novelty will have dynamic adaptive triggers and provide haptic feedback. The console should be presented later this year, although it is not known exactly when, and how much it will cost.
To play the game on a pocket console, it must be installed on the PlayStation 5 – Project Q is just an accessory, in fact – a kind of wireless controller with a display, and is significantly inferior in functionality to SteamDeck or even smartphones.
