Apple announced that the strategy game Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will be coming to iOS devices on February 5th. The game will be available as part of the Apple Arcade subscription service, available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The new edition is called the Arcade Edition. There’s a compelling reason for this, as this “port” will omit a significant portion of the PC and console content.
The Arcade Edition will offer a full gaming experience (large and massive maps will only be available on devices with 8GB of RAM), adapted for iPhone and iPad, and intuitive and seamless touch controls.
According to the game’s App Store page, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will be released on Apple Arcade without multiplayer support and will lack DLC from other platforms.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII players will lead one of the available civilizations, expand their territory, build cities and wonders, fight and cooperate, research new technologies, and more.
As a reminder, Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 was originally released in February 2025. The game is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
