Samsung Update Broke a Lot of Old Galaxy S10 Smartphones

A few days ago, users of some previously released Samsung smartphones began complaining that the devices went into a cyclic reboot after updating the software, and now the company itself has responded to these reports. It has confirmed the existence of the problem.

The bug affected devices worldwide, including the United States, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Belgium, France, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Germany. Reddit users reported that their phones were stuck in a BootLoop after installing the update. Attempts to fix the situation, other than a full factory reset, were unsuccessful.

Some users in South Korea reported that they were able to fix the problem at service centers without losing data. However, customers in the United States, for example, had difficulty contacting customer support and received no help at all.

According to a Reddit post, Samsung has already replaced the problematic update with a new version that does not break five-year-old devices. However, Galaxy smartphone users should be careful when updating their apps.
