S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Received Major Update 1.5
The developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl have released a large-scale update 1.5, timed to coincide with the release of a spectacular trailer that demonstrates the main innovations of the patch. Players can expect both fresh content and important technical improvements.
The full list of changes in patch 1.5 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 includes about 300 items: improvements to AI and the A-Life life simulation system, balance adjustments, gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and so on. In particular, they implemented partial reloading, added a new anomaly (water electric tornado), two weapons (the “Bark” pistol, the Mosin rifle), the ability to collect mutant body parts for sale, and the “Repair All” option in the technician menu.

As for A-Life, GSC has expanded the life simulation area to the entire Zone. In addition, characters will no longer spawn directly in front of the player, and the A-Life director will no longer respawn NPCs in the user’s line of sight. GSC has also released a beta version of the Zone Kit modding tool, added support for 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios, and automatic detection of graphics settings.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was released in November 2024 on PC and Xbox Series and will receive new updates and story DLC.
