Poco M8 And Poco M8 Pro Unveiled

Xiaomi-owned Poco has officially unveiled a pair of mid-range smartphones. Both new models feature high-quality AMOLED displays, are powered by Qualcomm processors, and will soon be available for purchase.
Poco M8 5G is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Its 6.77-inch AMOLED display features a 2392×1080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM, and a curved glass cover. The rear camera is represented by a Light Fusion 400 (aka Omnivision OV50D) main module with a 1/2.88″ sensor and a 2MP selfie snapper. The battery has a capacity of 5520 mAh and supports 45W charging. The case is IP65-certified for dust and moisture resistance. Connectivity includes an infrared port, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC.


The Poco M8 Pro 5G features a more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED panel boasts a 2772×1280 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Victus 2 glass. The Light Hunter 800 (OV50E) main rear camera is complemented by a simple 8MP wide-angle lens. The large 6500mAh silicon-carbon sensor supports 100W charging. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. It’s IP68-certified. Memory remains budget-friendly: 8-12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.


Both smartphones will soon go on sale in various markets worldwide. Retail prices for the new devices have not been announced.
