Microsoft Announces Copilot for Gaming — Personal Esports Coach
Microsoft has announced the launch of Copilot for Gaming, an intelligent assistant that makes it easier to download, launch, and play games. Initially, it will only be available through the Xbox mobile app, meaning it will be on a separate screen.
Microsoft positions Copilot for Gaming as a kind of assistant that will accompany gamers, offering tips and tutorials on the game, as well as useful information about the game world. During the press conference, Sonali Yadav, Microsoft’s product manager for gaming AI, demonstrated several scenarios for using Copilot for Gaming. One of them demonstrated how Copilot helps an Overwatch 2 player by analyzing the mistakes he made while trying to advance without teammates. In Overwatch 2, the AI coach is ready to help the player choose a hero that best complements the team. Copilot knows the strengths and weaknesses of characters and is able to recommend ideal combinations of skills in pairs.

Testing of the AI assistant will start in April on the Xbox platform. In the future, the technology is planned to be integrated into consoles and PCs, but the exact dates have not yet been specified.
