Lunar Software, in collaboration with publisher Raw Fury, have released the atmospheric psychological horror game Routine, more than 13 years after its initial announcement. A new gameplay trailer has been released to celebrate the release.
ROUTINE is designed in the style of 80s sci-fi horror novels. The story takes players to an abandoned lunar station and gradually uncovers what happened there. During the game’s progress, the protagonist comes face to face with a powerful enemy, after which what should have been a simple walk turns into a fight for survival.
At the time of writing, the game has fewer than 100 reviews on Steam, 90% of which are positive. Meanwhile, the average critic score remains at 77 on Metacritic (PC version) and 78 on OpenCritic, with a 69% recommendation. Reviewers generally praise the atmosphere but complain about the dull gameplay.
Routine is out on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.
