Keychron has introduced a special edition version of the Q1 HE keyboard, dubbed the Copper Edition. As the name suggests, its frame is made of copper, which not only increases the model’s weight from 1.7 to 4 kilograms (3.7 to 9 pounds), but also impacts its price.

It features the same TMR sensors, three computer connection options, the same aluminum switch panel, and, in addition, screw-type stabilizers for quieter typing. The keycaps come in two finishes: the standard set is black with copper lettering, while the others are copper-colored with black lettering. The programmable keycap is also copper-colored.

The Keychron Q1 HE Copper Edition features a 75% form factor with an adjustable knob; its dimensions are 327.5 x 145 mm, the front height is 22.6 mm, and the typing angle is 5.2°. The solid copper body is CNC-machined, and the keyboard weighs up to 4,000 g. Connectivity is via a 2.4 GHz radio, Bluetooth 5.2, or a USB Type-C port. The 4,000 mAh battery lasts up to 100 hours.

The Keychron Copper Edition Q1 HE is priced at $499 in the US, while the base model costs $239.
