Vivo has unveiled the most advanced smartphone under the iQOO brand, the iQOO 15 Ultra. Unlike other Ultra-branded flagships, this new device focuses not on cameras (which makes sense, as that would put it in direct competition with Vivo’s flagships!), but on maximum gaming performance.
The iQOO 15 Ultra is powered by a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with Qualcomm optimizations and a proprietary Q3 gaming chip that delivers high-quality 2K gaming, 2K+144 FPS gaming, and seven official games with native ultra-high resolution and ultra-high frame rates.
The Ultra Pro features up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 flash storage. Optimal thermal performance under heavy loads is ensured by the Ice Dome cooling system, which features a 59-blade, 17 mm fan and an 8000 mm² heat-dissipating plate with dual-layer graphite.

The 6.85-inch flat 8T LTPO AMOLED display, manufactured using Samsung M14 light-emitting materials, supports 2K+ resolution (3168 × 1440 pixels) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, brightness of up to 2600 cd/m² in HBM mode and peak brightness of up to 8000 cd/m². The screen has support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 color gamut, as well as PWM brightness control with a frequency of 2160 Hz and DC Dimming technology. It is also reported to use 2K LEAD OLED technology, providing lower power consumption, Pleasing Eye Protection 2.0 vision protection system to reduce eye strain and support for a minimum brightness of 1 cd/m². The display has a built-in 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The cameras are also unchanged: the main Sony IMX921, the Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus, the Sony LYT-600 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 32 MP front camera. The battery capacity has increased to 7400 mAh, but charging power remains the same: 120 watts via USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 or 40 watts via the back.
The iQOO 15 Ultra has a price tag that matches its name. The entry-level 16/256 model is priced at 5,699 yuan (approximately $825), while the most advanced 24/1024 model costs 7,699 yuan ($1,110).
