Huawei has officially announced the Nova 15 line of mid-range smartphones. The new series includes three models: the base Nova 15, as well as the advanced Nova 15 Pro and Nova 15 Ultra. The devices feature a refreshed design, improved camera performance, and longer battery life.

The nova 15 smartphone is equipped with the Huawei Kirin 8020 chipset, which is also used in the nova 14 Pro and nova 14 Ultra. According to Huawei, it delivers 42% higher performance than the Kirin 8000 chip in the nova 14. The smartphone complies with the IP65 standard for water and dust resistance. The 6000 mAh battery supports 100W fast wired charging. The device runs HarmonyOS 6.0.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 50-megapixel front-facing camera is located at the top. On the back are a 50-megapixel main camera with an RYYB sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with an RYYB sensor, and a 1.5-megapixel multispectral color sensor.
The smartphones’ camera cluster features a dual-ring design, with two horizontally arranged circles housing the cameras and sensors. The nova 15 Ultra features three 50-megapixel RYYB sensors. The main lens has a variable aperture of f/1.4–f/4.0 and supports optical image stabilization (OIS). It is complemented by a periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 118° field of view.

The Nova 15 Ultra and Nova 15 Pro are powered by Huawei’s new Kirin 9010S chip, which offers 18% performance improvement over the Kirin 8020 processor. Both models are powered by 6,500 mAh batteries with 100W fast wired charging.
The nova 15 Pro and nova 15 Ultra smartphones share similar specifications. Both new models feature a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1320 x 2856 pixels and a refresh rate of 1–120 Hz, as well as a peak brightness of 4000 cd/m² and Kunlun protective glass.
