Google Upgrades Its NBA Pixel Arena App

Google and the NBA have teamed up to update the Pixel Arena feature on the official NBA app. New avatars, new mini-games, and highlights.

With the update to Pixel Arena avatars, fans have more options, including more natural skin tones using the Monk Skin Tone (MST) scale, a 10-degree scale built into the Pixel Real Tone camera technology. Users can also update their avatar’s outfit with over a trillion style combinations inspired by futuristic streetwear and basketball culture. Also included with each avatar is a Pixel 7 Pro of your chosen color, which serves as a virtual guide to navigate the Pixel Arena.

The biggest change is that users are now free to move around the space, so the emphasis on menu immersion has been reduced in favor of natural exploration.
